We built with our hands before we ever built a business.

Before Ourland Highroad existed, our founder laid forms, framed steel, and hung drywall. He then served 23 years across the US Army and US Air Force, fighting in two wars, learning what it means to execute under pressure with limited resources and zero margin for error. He went on to care for people as a Registered Nurse and served in medical research. And somewhere along the way, he ran his own business on the sunlit coast of Naples and Marco Island, Florida, learning firsthand what it takes to find customers in need, keep them, and earn their trust.

That journey, from blue-collar roots to business gave him something most marketing consultants don't have: a genuine understanding of what it costs a small business owner to show up every single day.

Here's the wall we kept watching local businesses hit.

The small business owner is already solving a hard problem. They are the plumber, the landscaper, the salon owner, the contractor, the expert their community depends on. The challenge was in the translation.
